Seton Hill Appoints Jennifer R. Lundy as Vice President for Finance and Administration and CFO

Seton Hill University President Mary C. Finger, Ed.D., has announced the appointment of Jennifer R. Lundy as the University’s Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Lundy will assume her new role on Feb. 1, 2018.

Lundy succeeds Chief Financial Officer Paul Edsall, who is retiring after working for nearly 20 years in various financial and administrative roles. He will assist with the transition.

“We are pleased to have Jennifer Lundy join Seton Hill’s leadership team as the Vice President for Finance and Administration and CFO,” Finger said. “Jennifer’s experience as a financial executive in higher education will be a tremendous asset as Seton Hill continues to explore growth in academic programs and work on campus expansion projects that will enhance the learning experience for all students.”

I am eager to contribute to Seton Hill’s continuing move forward.”

Lundy will be responsible for managing the business and financial services of the University and will oversee the areas of accounting, procurement, human resources, auxiliary services, facilities, and public safety as well as campus construction and renovation projects.

Jennifer R. Lundy comes to Seton Hill from Chatham University, where she has served as Associate Vice President for Finance and Administration for the past 11 years. At Chatham, Lundy managed several functions including the Business Office, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, the Post Office and Copy Center. She developed the university’s budget, managed the endowment, and oversaw the external audit and other significant compliance matters. In addition, Lundy also led Chatham’s Institutional Master Plan, a collaborative, institution-wide process designed to culminate in a community input public phase and approval by the City of Pittsburgh. 

During her tenure at Chatham, Lundy served as a member of the university’s adjunct faculty. She taught courses in financial accounting and auditing at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Prior to her work at Chatham, Lundy served as a Senior Auditor with Schneider Downs where she performed audits and reviews of small to midsized businesses, construction contractors, not-for-profit organizations, colleges and universities, and employee benefit plans.  She also previously served as an interim school director for Penn Hills School District where she was twice appointed to carry out incomplete terms of resigning directors. In this capacity, she negotiated contracts and made recommendations that helped control costs for the district.

Lundy earned an MBA, with a specialization in leadership and organizational change, from Chatham University and completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.
