Seton Hill alumna Denise Campbell ’03 Finalist for Stevie Award for Women in Business

Denise Campbell, a 2003 Seton Hill University graduate, and her health company, iHealth Partners Network, have been named a finalist in the Startup of the Year category in the 14th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winner in the program.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run – worldwide.  The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Friday, November 17.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.

After the premature birth of her son, Denise empowered herself and other parents experiencing the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit by establishing ICU Parenting Magazine.  Filled with patient and family resources and advocacy support tools, Denise and her son quickly became a voice for change in hospital policies in parents’ rights, true informed consent, better directed discharge plans as well as policy changes at the state and national level.

iHealth Partners Network takes her work yet one step further to address the lack of lifestyle support in medicine. Last year, she created a new start-up, Integrated Health Partners Network and My Lifestyle Guru to empower consumers and the lifestyle doctors and practitioners of their choice in helping them take control of their health through lifestyle change programs.

Since July 2016, Denise and her company became a recognized provider of the CDC Diabetes Prevention Program and created an ecosystem that easily connects lifestyle practitioners who are traditionally not covered by insurance to partner with doctors.  Thus, making it possible for insurance and self-insured companies to begin to cover the cost of lifestyle change management programs. To date, there are nearly 3,700 lifestyle change practitioners and nearly 2,000 physicians in the platform who have agreed to partner and work side-by-side.

“I’m so honored to be a finalist with other outstanding women entrepreneurs,” said Denise Campbell. “This prestigious award will help bring attention to the profound need of connecting lifestyle practitioners and traditional health care providers to collaborate as partners in the care of chronic and preventative conditions.”
