I loved the idea of attending a smaller school. The close proximity to home, the campus, and small classrooms is what drew me in to pick SHU. I love the extracurricular life here at SHU. I am the president of Society of STEM Leaders, VP of the Hogwarts Club, Treasurer for Feminist Collective, and Secretary for the Chemistry Club. These clubs allow me to pursue my secondary passions and meet so many new people. I am most proud of my accomplishment to put myself out there at SHU. I have gained so many amazing opportunities such as scholarships and attending conferences by being a go-getter and doing as much as I can for the school. As an introvert, it can be easy to blend in rather than stand out, and I try everyday to put myself out there so I can be proud of what I've accomplished at Seton Hill. My ultimate goal in life is to pursue and obtain a PhD. The Grant Scholar Program has been incredibly helpful in setting me up with a mentor that walks through my future with me and helps prepare me for what is going to come next. Furthermore, the faculty at SHU has been so kind in offering me advice and writing letters of recommendation for me. I am blessed to be surrounded by the Seton Hill community and know that everyone here is rooting for my (and every student's) success in the future!
