Gene Saraceni
Chair, Theatre Department & Professor, Theatre

Gene "Doc" Saraceni directed more than 75 plays during his 36-year tenure as professor of theatre and later, chair of the theatre department, at Seton Hill.  Gene and his wife, Iva made a significant commitment to establish Seton Hill as an All-Steinway School, a designation that only 150 institutions worldwide have earned.  They made their gift in memory of their daughter Elyse Saraceni, an accomplished pianist and Seton Hill student, who died during the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
