JoAnne Woodyard Boyle, Ph.D. '57
Ninth President, Seton Hill University
JoAnne Woodyard Boyle taught English from 1959, and later served as department chair, until her appointment as president in 1987. Her vision brought programs of national prominence to Seton Hill including the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill, brokered international partnerships, and received national recognition for the way universities can drive economic development in communities.
